Membership benefits

Full MOA membership entitles members to the following:

Use of the our two holiday houses (subject to availability of balloted weekends and midweek bookings)
Attendance at all events including the Christmas picnic
Discounted beverages and access to the MOA bar
Free drink from the MOA bar on the week of your birthday (with proof of birthday)
Voting rights at AGMs and special meetings
Voting rights at committee meetings

Non-members can attend events at the non-member price.

Non-members (who are also CCC Staff) can come to the MOA bar with no restrictions.

Other non-members can come to the bar if signed in by a member. They may also join sports teams if invited.

How much does membership cost?

Membership costs $55 for a full year, with an additional one-off joining fee of $5 for new members.

Fees for new memberships are calculated on a sliding scale, which includes the $5 one time only joining fee. This means that you don’t have to pay for a full year’s membership if you join part-way through the year.

Types of membership

CCC staff are allowed to join MOA as full members. Other people, including contractors, friends, and family members, can become social members.

Note: Social membership has most of the same benefits as full membership, with the exception of not being entitled to vote at official MOA meetings such as the AGM, and not being entered in the housing ballot (social members can still attend AGM's and book the houses for non-balloted weekends).
